Not really the Geforce FX was just a burden on the market the Radeon 9000's were kicking the crap out of the FX series.
The Radeon middle range card the 9600's I believe were faster then the fastest FX. lol.
The Geforce FX was one of nvidia's wrost series as well as the 9 series they were useless.

dude i had the evga 5700 LE with 256 mb vram, the i purchased a evga 7800 gtx 3 years after, now i have a evga 280 gtx hc16
