This animation is not the tv character but an earlier version, based on a Stackridge song about Dora the female Explorer. Thirteen 10/11 year old children made this, linked to a project on the Rainforest but to get enough clips it broadened into Exploration of Space, Arctic, under water etc
Was that Syracuse the elephant in the promo too?

Cannot believe it's 40 years - sounds as fresh now, a classic.

This has always been my favourite Stackridge song since it was their encore when I first saw them supporting Lindisfarne at Newcastle City Hall in 1971. Well done kids a brilliant interpretation.

Loved the band but never manged to see them. This was one tune that that was "poppy" enough but didn't get enough airplay to do things. Animation really suits the song. well done you guys!
