Journeys end. The final day of Adam Luper's tour de France. Having had to wait for the morning fog to burn off, he was finally able to depart Reims, heading for Le Touquet, scooting around Lille. From le Touquet, he cleared customs and made channel crossing back home to EGTC - Cranfield.
Routing: Reims - Abbeville - Le touquet - Calais - Dover - Canterbury - Stapleford - Luton - Cranfield
Since finishing his tour of France on November 21st 2011, Adam has started the Commercial Pilots Licence course at Cranfield Flying School. Adam was one of the very last students to be alumni of the 'old' Cabair ground school ATPL course. If you see him around the airfield, do say 'bonjour'.
Adam trained for his Private Pilot's Licence with CFS and has chosen specifically to complete his advanced CPL, Multi -- Engine and Instrument Rating with them. He believes the school to be one of Europe's longest established flying schools and pilot training facilities. The emphasis is on talent building and giving students the professional pilot training needed to become a commercial airline pilot. All completed at the state-of-the-art Flight Training Centre at Cranfield Airport.
Cranfield Airport is a busy airport situated in class G airspace, providing excellent facilities for training including VOR, NDB, ILS and VDF let-down procedures. Full Air Traffic Control (Aerodrome and Approach Control) is provided seven days a week, during Airport operating hours. The airfield is just outside the Olympic restricted airspace and as such, the ability to provide high caliber training during the Olympic period won't be affected.
CFS has been recognised for many years as one of the leading flight training schools in the UK for Flight Instructor course. David Coulson and Donald Putnam are of the highest caliber of instructors based at Cranfield.
