@MrLuebeck MTH uses Proto Sound 3, not sure if that is equivalent to Soundtraxx Tsunami. I have not seen any of the new Athearn Genesis units yet, but hope to see one in my old club after Christmas 2010.

@miachevydude The sound should be okay in the Athearn Genesis, but the models I have seen of other Genesis engines, does not impress me. Not for the ind of money we will be paying for a superior brand, according to Genesis.

Looking forward to Athearns version,mainly because they will have Digitraxx sound decoders already installed.

I love it. You pretty much convinced me that I should buy the MTH ver. of the MRL SD70ACe. Thank you very much for the product review

@musicsnob01 Thanks - I am glad you liked it. To me the small things just as the crew personel in the MTH means a lot to me, but the difference between MTH and Athearn Genesis is not that big. Personally I stick with the MTH, but that is also due to the fact that the one Genesis engine which I have - I am not satisfied with it to say the least.
