This film depresses me everytime I finish watching it, I am a teenage Australian, and it is my favorite film, I first watched it on the web and than ordered a copy myself, for a person of my character to love such an obscure film is a miracle. When the two friends disintegrate it is especially sad, and knowing that Withnail tops himself after that walk in the rain is even more gloomy. I just remind myself it is Marwood the story is about, not Withnail, he gets left behind while Pete moves on.

I can live with the spam if it intro's more people to this, as was said before, brilliant movie and sound track. I bought the DVD for my wife of 39 years. We search out for such things in life. This is a good rendition of the Theme song.

@auangus Indeed, did you know the origonal ending had withnail return to the flat and blow his head off with the shotgun but the director summised this would be overly dark :), i like to belive withnail had some chance of a good life.
