The sense of ominous, brooding suspense created by the first 1.20 seconds of apparent calm is almost unbearable. It's like a Hitchcock film in miniature.

It should be about 10 seconds long; the camera shouldn't have been turned off.

Loved it. The suspense was killing me and the crash well worth it. Hope everyone left with all their teeth.. In their mouth.

Dude, for the love of God, edit this film. Why do we need an entire minute of random riders before the event? Seriously.
-
Why did you choose that exact moment to stop recording?

@TeamSpendaPenny Your team did extremely well - well done to all. Do you do this alot? How do you guys manage to source these machines - they must be pretty rare now. I got the impression there were also a few custom made models but I maybe wrong on that!

@rtimson1 The bike was purchased at a specialist bike auction last autumn favouring an authentic machine as opposed to a replica - but there are firms out there make modern versions. Info on the Team Spend a Penny bike is available on the team spend a penny website.

@dtjames1 I checked out your web site you guys are clearly doing good work! Rumour has it that the rider in white on this video who crashed into the Czech broke both arms - and the Chez was dq'd for dangerous riding - do you know if this is correct? If this is the case v unfortunate but I guess riding these machines at speed inevitably carries a risk.
