Fair play to you David! U2 was my antidote for a 1st gen Irish American longing to live back in Ireland. I've recently been listening to them a great deal again, as the music resonates so well with life. Great you've connected with them.

best band ever by distance ! they have unique sound thats timeless their shows r out of this world and ireland should be so proud of them ! there will never be a band like them again !

Yes, soleil2020 I did, 3 times in 2009- and many times since the mid 1980s. Hopefully I will see them in So cal in June 2010.

I hope you got to go see them. Seems like you deserve it. In case you missed them though, they are coming back to the USA in June and July of 2010. Take that road trip! It's worth it if you love U2. I saw them in '87 and I still remember the thrill of that concert. I'm going to see them this summer (2010), come hell or high water.
