  • drink in your eyes.... Drink in those waters..... (crescendo from p-f/ff) If you open your eyes needs to be big and clashy

  • Clashy -- you sound so sophisticated.

Sometimes I wish that Choral pieces were written with no dynamics or tempo markings....as directors seem to get overwhelmed in them. Personally, I think the choices made when we sang this song are great, but I've learned to accept other interpretations of the song as well. We as humans always think "our way is the best"...thanks for being a great example of that.

  • @zzxadamxzz really? not my year.

Actually this was a performance for a contest rating. And our CDs have always been live recordings from concerts / competitions.

  • @hardporecorn (I know this is two years later) no, this is a rehearsal before the performance, we would tape them for the recording for the cd we made every year.

  • oh jeez, I remember when I heard them perform this, it started to thunderstorm at the crescendo of the song, the whole audience gave them a standing ovation at the end. it was so thrilling! :))) I miss being in robed choir

  • Very small audience. Just another choir singing at the festival.

  • Is there an audience?

  • I thought it was quite good. The tempo i believe was distinguished by the conductor...some do change little things like that, we all have a different sound to our ears, and i think the tempo was quite good as well. I also think the balance was pretty good, i think the guys needed to bring it up more rather than the girls coming down so they could keep that intensity.

  • OMG ! WHO SCREWED IT UP!!!! there was a three second pause after the whole song....which is like the audiaence was speachless but 4 seconds into the pause some retard had to clap! ahhh!

  • It was ok, not good but ok. This choir didn't take advantage of what this song care be when it is performed right. I sense a lack of emotion. The tempo here SUCKED! And the girls way outsang the guys. Not enough of that "zzz" sound that Whitacre likes. But overall is was ok.
