Ever wonder how to build a PC? I know I have before I learnt how. How to build a pc is actually not that hard once you learn it. How to build a pc is essentially about buying the right parts for each other. You have to make sure that you are knowledgeable in the area of compatibility. A simple stick of ram can end up not being compatible with your motherboard. A graphics card can be non-compatible with a motherboard.

The list goes on and on with each piece. So before going to an online retailer, or retail store, and buying parts that are necessary, you need to make sure that you have the major factor: Compatibility. Luckily I have done this research for you and made a list of parts that are compatible with each other. There are 7 Must have's and one optional if you want to have wireless internet connection.

IMPORTANT NOTE: When you finish building your computer make sure to keep it in top shape by protecting it. This includes virus protection, and for me a round the clock optimization from a company called Omnitech Support (http://www.omnitechsupport.com/y.php), they give you a full year of service for $299. They fix the computer of any issues and keep it optimized. Which is a steal, most computer technicians charge 100-150 dollars an hour.

Here is the list of parts:
GPU: XFX HD-577A-ZNFC Radeon HD 5770 With 1GB

CPU: Intel Core i5 Sandybridge 2310 @ 2.9 GHz

Motherboard: MSI H67MA-E35 LGA 1155

PSU: OCZ ModXStream Pro 700W

Ram: G.Skill Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB)

Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar Blue WD5000AAKX 500GB 7200RPM

CD/DVD Drive: Lite-On 22x DVD Burner with Lightscribe

(Optional) Wireless Network Card: TP-LINK TL-WN350G PCI

Case: RAIDMAX Blackstorm ATX-615WU Black Steel

  • I built this:

    GTX550

    i52500k

    8GBDDR3

    500w corsair CX500

    500Gb seagate 7200RPM

    for around $630-$650

  • @bonebreakerguy The parts should cost around 570,89 including tax. you are missing a motherboard in this mix.

  • @howtowindowsguide Yeah i know, i just mentioned the (big) parts IMO

    BIOSTAR H61MGC MoBo

  • @bonebreakerguy The motherboard is another 50 bringing it to 620.88, the case and operating system would be the last of it

  • @bonebreakerguy Make sure the ram you bought doesn't have a faster speed of 1333, your motherboard doesn't support any faster.

  • NICE!!!!

  • @howtowindowsguide Yeah I know it's 1333.

  • @jishan22 what about the operating system? O.o

  • @rickyvanhalen I did forget to add to the video to plug in the CPU power. This is a 4 pin connector that is located near the CPU on the motherboard. The PSU comes with it, a black 4 pin. Pause the video at 6:37 to see the plug in between both fans. It is the wire on the top left.

  • @howtowindowsguide k, got it. Sorry if i'm a bit dumb with these things but i have two more questions, 1. how many pins is that plug? 2. what is overclocking, what does it do and how do i do it?
