Nick Jonas Speech In Toronto Aug/30/2009

I had watched his speeches online and thought they were nice but theres no way to describe the beauty of his words and how you feel when your right there and in the moment, my friend and i cried so much from this and i found that it inspired me more than anything, i hope it does the same for you, i love how he says "ill be fine" at the end of the vid with such a proud and encouraging smile on his face, i love him with all my heart, nick jonas is my forever

you know
sometimes in life

you get thrown an unexpected curve ball
you've got a plan
and you think that everything is going to go according to your plan
that's what i thought until about 4 years ago
when I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes
now it flipped my whole world upside down
cuz up until that point
I've had a perfect medical history
so when my doctor told me
I asked the only question that came to mind
which was, am I gunna die?
she looked back at me
with tears in her own eyes
and said no
your gunna be alright

so that night when I was on my way to the hospital
I made a comitment to myself
I made a comitment, that i would NOT let this slow me down
in this past year alone
I've met the president of the united states
we've had our SECOND rolling stone cover
and thanks to all of you
our second number 1 album
and tonight
Im playing in a place where 2 years ago
I drove by everyday on the set to camp rock
and everyday my brothers and I would say
were gunna play there one day
and tonight
were playing infront of a sold out crowd of 56,000 people
SO U TELL ME SUMTHIN!
HAS IT SLOWED ME DOWN!?
I SAID

so when that moment comes
and u need to press on in the midst of hard times
I wanna encourage you with these words tonight
dont you ever

and I wanna thank all of you
for believing in me

and 2 years ago
I was having one of those days where things just weren't goin my way
so I sat down
at a piano
in haliburton canada
and I wrote this song
and in the moment
the song was for me
a way for me to
express wat was goin on in my heart
but hearing your stories
of you telling me that this song has encouraged and inspired you
means the world to me and I wanna say thankyou from the bottom of my heart
and I want you all to know
that I love you with all my heart.

Oh my God. When he gave this speech in Montreal, I was crying SO loud! I totally agree with you, the sensation you feel when you hear it live is even stronger than on the internet. In montreal people were singing even louder and it gave me chills. It was a night to remember, not to say the best night of my entire life, and thanks to this amazing and insirational boy and his two incredible brothers. =)
