2010 Championship Heavy Horse Pull

July 18, 2010 at the Calgary Stampede, a new Heavy Horse pull record was set again this year. Dennis Weinberger from Regina, Saskatchewan, with his team of Belgians, Dan & Jesse, dragged a sled with dead weight of 13, 200 lbs in the heavyweight division. Dan & Jesse weigh a combined 5326 lbs. This beat last years record of 13, 100 lbs also by a team of large Belgians.

Dennis apparently also set a record with his lightweight division team and had another team win the middleweight division! 2010 has been a good year for Dennis.

Scott Fisher of Edwardsburg, Michigan trained these horses for Dennis Weinberger....they did an awesome job in Calgary and this same pair of horses lacked just 7 inches of breaking the world record of 4850 on the Michigan Dynamometer in Hillsdale Michigan.....
