Not all cynicism is hateful. As those comedians you mentioned probably meant it, in sarcastic humor cynicism is just a good way to get someone on the same page; to relate a joke to the audience.

i dont give a shit if your rich or not. but i do give a shit if said rich person got there wealth by immoral and illegal means and is not brought to justice just cuz said person owns the system in which he lives in. And i give a shit if said rich person has more political power then be just cuz he said rich person has more wealth then me. Now thats a good reason to rise and rebel.

yea, its like the bill at the restaurant that includes 10% for a tip. i really resent that, if you want to give a tip because the service was genuinely good and you want to commend that then you should be free to give it at your discretion, but to be forced to give a tip weather it was good or bad is so insulting. like you werent going to anyway so we have to make you give us a little more.
