lol i like his metaphor for worm holes its kinda the same thing but its nothing like the real thing and yet it still is the same thing... this could go on forever

can a type 2 civilization survive a big freeze? I think that shoots down that immortality... perhaps a type 4 civ can, because that logically implies universal or maybe multiversal mastery

Nothing guarantees that we hit a habitable universe the first time. But through some pretty sneaky probability you can come up with that it is a 50% chance to hit a universe just like our own, since every infinity will always take up half the set, while those not like it take the other half and share it.
I know it sound confusing but so does Quantum mechanics which is actually what is being used to come up with the ratio.
