Late Model In-Car

We put a camera inside the #444 Late Model at Antigo (WI) and got some nice in-car footage. Unfortunately, there was no sound so Greg Waters and teh Cool Waters Band was nice enough to grant us permission and provide the sound!

Nice video, but what's up with guys that put music in race videos? I don't get it, where'd the race car sound go?????

Didn't have any choice. When I got the video from the team, they forgot to either plug the mic in or turn it on or something. In short, there was NO audio from the camera at all.

This is GREAT! I have always wanted to see this. How do you keep the camera from getting blasted by the vibration? How is the picture so smooth?

Thanks. We used the catch-a-cam and zip tied it to the chassis. As for not taking a beating, well, a rock in the lens finally did it in. At least we got something...

Thats too bad, but the video is very good and not bad music, just happen to be a fan of that dirt car sound. Good stuff.

the real action is in the bullrings. half mile county fair tracks don't produce much racing. (Bulls Gap does though!) Go to River Cities Speeday in Grnad Forks ND sometime. Went to an Late Model Oulaws show there and they had 30 410's there as a support class. Incredible what Babb did. In his backup car he started 24th and passed his way to front in 20 laps never getting into anybody! I think Carrier won. Sprint Main was like somebody turned on a blender-they flew.

I love watching off-road racing too, but I didn't make it to Crandon this year. My uncle offered to go with me to the World championships, and to stay with him at his cabin less than an hour away! I've watched off-road racing on TV since the SODA days, and I would love to see them again in person. I went to SODA events at Road America, and once at Chilton after the series lost the top drivers.

I went to 26 tracks this year and I have one more to go: Road America yet at the end of October. I went to basically every track in the Eastern half of the state except Eagle River's 2 tracks, Wilmot, Milwaukee Mile (it never fit in) and the 2 boring dirt 1/2 miles at Shawano/Antigo. I enjoyed everything. I saw and enjoyed races at asphalt 1/4, 1/3 and 1/2 miles; dirt 1/4 and 1/3 miles; ice races on a 1/4 mile; karting on 1/8 mile dirt, 1/4 mile dirt, and 0.8 mile asphalt road courses.

Todd isnt related to Jack, Jed, and the other one cant remeber his name. my mom grew up with Todd and my dad and grandpa work for jack in the dells at his house. how cant u like shawano i mean thats were i raced twice this year. wat tracks did u like?
