Most other industrialized countries have successful universal HC, including Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Russia, San Marino, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom, to name a FEW. Many rank higher on quality of & life exp. stats.

The tea-party is cute. Its deregulation, wall street, big worldwide banks, mafias, weapons industry lords, silly, not Obama, he's lucky to do anything on his own, much less unilaterally make policy decisions, and the armies of lobbyists in DC, whoa boy, they're fun! the difference is Republicans have often been a lot more bent over for the people mentioned above, don't be silly teabaggers, you're so cute when you're angry.

@TheNovascotia2010 Of course government will take over. Prime example is medicaid. It doesn't cover much and again government decides whether you need it or not. Government also has sticking fingers, do you actually think 100% of the funds will go to healthcare? Do you think doctors that have gone to school spent thousands of dollars and energy want to work for peanuts and see more patients then they can handle? Big government is a bad thing, it needs to be broken down.

Liberals want more government which then government takes away rights from the people causing socialism and with enough taken away communism. Why on earth would you want more government? There will always be poverty, but with socialism there is more. Look at the countries that already have it and in history to see for yourself.

@transoptic976 if those countries as you say have better healthcare than us , why is it the rich come here for their healthcare needs? THis is especially true when life and death situations arise where they need to come here. Prime example of this is our neighbor Canada which sends a lot of their patients to Seattle Washington. Our healthcare may be expensive but its more effective then any others. You get what you pay for period.
