Hitchens rejects Christianity

As part of a debate produced by the Prestonwood Christian Academy on November 18, 2010, Christopher Hitchens debated Dr. William Dembski, Research Professor in Philosophy at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. The debate was titled "Does a Good God Exist?" and focused primarily on evolution and intelligent design but at one point in question period, Hitchens gave a summary of why he rejects Christianity -- classic Hitchens. 1, No God and lack of beleif dosn't matter

2, Yes God and a just God that knows punishing someone for lack of blind faith is unjust, so I'm set

3, Yes God and he punishes unbeleivers for eternity simply for unbelief. This would make that deity a terroist unworthy of worship

I like option one, due to the evidence counterindicating God

@musicgtts No, that's where you're wrong. As we grow and experience life, we learn what to *TRUST*. You learn to trust familiar chairs, you use your judgment with unfamiliar chairs, and you sometimes ask if the chair looks dubious or makes noises when you sit down. We learn that flat-looking man-made floors generally won't collapse or sag like rubber when we walk on them. That's trust, based on reason and evidence. You can gain or lose trust in a chair or a floor. That's not faith.

Anyway, why would God model the universe after a barbaric and ruthless class system from 2000 years ago? Don't you think it's telling that God is a "Lord" and "Master"?
