The women of the Lisbon CT Historical Society offer cooking classes in the authentic manner of yesteryear. Attendees are instructed and guided through hands on prep of the evenings menu. The warmth of the roaring fires and aroma's of the cooking food as well as the ambiance of the surroundings make for a very unforgetable event.
My parents Ed and Joan Friedland are responsible for the restoration of this home and also pioneered the open hearth cooking events at the Lisbon Historical society in the 1960s. I personally worked on the restoration of the John Bishop house where it looks like this was filmed.
