  • If anyone can tell me any player in the history of the NBA who had a higher skill level than Penny, please let me know. He may not be the greatest player ever, but what player at his size has ever had his court vision, speed, hops, quickness, tenacity, killer instinct and jumpshot. Long live the best player to ever wear number 1.

  • I've watched Penny from Memphis Treadwell to the Miami Heat, I have yet to see a basketball player with his skill level and iq to match. His career got shortened but he will always be my favorite basketball player. He may not be a hall of famer, but he will be one of the reasons players like Lebron and Tmac go. Penny is #1!!!

  • I'm very happy to see penny play in his golden age. Also I'm happy to be able to see him play in Japan against Nets.

    Thank you for posting !!

  • I probably already said something but what the hell...

Penny had the skill to lead the league in scoring but he was a combo player of MJ23 and Magic. He like to pass andget his teammates involved too.

Too bad his health held him back. Also add that he was sensitive and let criticism rattle him.

I still enjoy watching him. Awesome athleticism and a high basketball iq.

  • for sure...I'll take da 96-97 Penny Hardaway over any past or present NBA player, I could go on and on about where he would rank amongst da greats had he not gotten injured...one of da rare players that could dominate a game with scoring, passing, and defense. 1 cent live 4ever!!!!!

  • @Peypen. If Penny doesn;t get put into the Basketball Hall fo Fame then I lost all respect for what Hall of Fame means. Penny was almost as good as MJ in the mid-90s and people MJ refocused his game when he came back so yes those were MJs best yrs as well. Same could be said for Grant Hill but like Penny injuries took his career away---heck same for Alonzo Mourning. So many great superstars in the 90s could not coninue that greatness in the 00s due to freak injuries/illnesses.

  • @uziman2. I am a Bulls fan but I see what it is in hoops first. Except for MJ I do agree that I take Penny in his peak over Kobe and Lebron; and Penny is very close to MJ in his peak. And the MJagic in 1994-95 and 1995-96 are probably among the greatest non-NBA Title Teams ever. The 94-95 Team I think just let the big stage and choking Game 1 get to them and thats why they didn;t give Houston a better fight. In 95-96 the Bulls were the greatest ever so its understandable.

  • for me a Healthy and young Penny Hardaway i will pick over

    Jordan, Kobe, Lebron,

now put Shaq, Dwight howard, Penny,

and the rest of the 90's Orlando...

thats a hard team to beat.

  • I really love this player, great dude inside and out.

  • penny can school everybody in perfect condition....michael kobe lebron wade and the others

  • Not fitting song for penny this is disrispect.
