I Just Want You To Know // Chapter 44

Tyler- I'm excited now
Xavier- me too
Tyler- *gets up and checks her phone* dad called me *puts it on speaker phone and plays the voicemail* "hey Tyler it's dad, I was just calling to tell you there is a little change of plans. Your mom is coming this Friday instead so since it's Wednesday I was wondering if you could come home and help us get ready tomorrow. I know you're with Xavier but you don't have to be home until tonight. Alright well I'll see you later. Love you bye!"
Xavier- *looks at her*
Tyler- *frozen in place tears streaming down her face*
Xavier- aww baby no... don't cry *pulls her into his arms*
Tyler- *breaks down crying*
Xavier- *tears up and rubs her back* hey, shh it's ok... you have to be positive Tyler maybe what she has to say is good
Tyler- no no no! all she's gonna say is " you can stay here or come back with me" I can't answer that question Xavier! I love you so much; I can't just pack up and leave like nothing happened! And I can't leave my mom all by herself, she'll go crazy without us... *sits down and hugs her knees, laying her head on top, and letting her tears fall*
Xavier- *wipes his eyes and kneels down in front of her* baby girl, your mom wants what's best for you, and whatever your choice may be she's gonna be ok with it because she knows where your heart is and she knows no matter what you love her. But I know you feel like this isn't fair and I know it's hard but no matter what your choice is I'm gonna be with you 100 percent because I love you.
Tyler- *hugs him tight*
Xavier- *holds her and rubs her back*

Tyler was packing her things up and getting ready to go home when Mrs. Stevens came in.

Mrs. Stevens- I'm sorry to bother you Tyler but does your little brother like cookies?
Tyler- *smiles* yes ma'am
Mrs. Stevens- *hands her a bag* here you go. You can take these to him
Tyler- thank you so much
Mrs. Stevens- you're welcome, are you going home tonight?
Tyler- yes ma'am my mom's coming tomorrow
Mrs. Stevens- oh I thought it was next week
Tyler- it was but she changed it
Mrs. Stevens- oh ok well, I hope everything goes well
Tyler- *nods* thank you
Mrs. Stevens- *hugs her* be strong honey I know this is hard for you
Tyler- *closes her eyes* yes ma'am
Mrs. Stevens- *smiles and walks back down stairs*
Xavier- *walks in* here's your bathing suit Ty
Tyler- thank you
Xavier- is there anything else?
Tyler- *shakes head* I think that's all
Xavier- alright... are you ready?
Tyler- *sighs* yeah
Xavier- *grabs her bags and follows her to the truck*
Tyler- *takes a good look around and whispers* I'm gonna miss it
Xavier- *sets her stuff in the back and climbs in*
Tyler- *hops in the truck*
Xavier- *puts the key in the ignition and starts the truck*
Tyler- *slides close to him*
Xavier- *puts an arm around her and backs out of the driveway*

On the way to her dad's Tyler played back her whole summer. She remembered when she first saw her dad and how mad she was with him for never taking time to see her. That mood changed later that night when her dad sat down and told her everything. She smiled when she thought about the first time she met Xavier at the river. Then there was Nate and everything that happened with him. But her favorite part of the summer was when Xavier took her to the nature park. She learned so much that day and she had a really good time. She smiled when she thought about Mrs. Annabelle and her lessons. She loved her to death. Then there was this past week. She teared up and snuggled to Xavier. He kissed her forehead and rubbed her arm. She was so tired of crying and she knew there would be more tears so she tried to blink them back.
