The storage bag you have should be enough to mark the "head end" of your hammock wouldn't you think?

ATHiking1, Kent: check out Dutch Clips, if you've not already. There's a vid on youtube. Excellent device: uses less strap, sets in 5 seconds instead of a minute or two, and most importantly, does not fray the strap like the tying method you show.

I bet you hang in the most secure hammock of any site of any park you're camping at.

OVERKILL..looping around once is good enough.ending with a half hitch to stop it from loosening up.I have done this several times and has not slipped yet
