New Xbox 360 Slim Opinion Needed

What do you think about the new black 360?
It Still eats your gaming Disks!

Those who watched Microsoft's E3 presser this morning know that attendees were given 360 Slims, and they helpfully included a full spec list so we don't have to actually look at the box to know what's up. At first glance, the Slim doesn't look that different from the original 360s, but appearances can be deceptive, as Brad Pitt might say. We already know it has a big-ass hard drive and built-in 802.11n wifi, but those aren't the only new features. Hit the jump for the most notable specs on the 360 Slim.


"Custom Kinect port." What is this? I don't know. It just says it makes it so the console "directly hooks up to the Kinect sensor." How that's different than whatever original 360 owners will use to connect to Kinect is anyone's guess at this particular moment.
Five USB ports. OK.
An internal but still easily removable hard drive. Old 360 hard drives and memory units are not compatible with the Slim.
Smaller power supply. Old 360 power supplies are not compatible with the Slim.
PS3-style touch-sensitive on/off and disc eject button. That's right: button. It's one button for both.
45nm chipset.
It's glossy as hell.
There you go. This feels like a legitimately worthwhile upgrade. It's mostly just disappointing that it took them five years to put this thing out.

ive got it u cant get ring of death and its great it lasts for long long time i recomend u get it.

@timhaas1 The Xbox plays it's discs in a disc tray, as the disc revolves around that tray things shouldn't move it. If the disc moves the Xbox tears a big circle on the bottom of the disc. That's why Xbox shouldn't use a tray.

sht buy it!!!!!! if ur problem is the old HDD drives for the older models u can bust them out the case and throw them in the bottom of it no problem... they still fit.. as goes for eatin disk dont worry bout that it wont happe unless u throw it -.-' and the USB ports u will need them if ur a pro gamer.. and its touch sensitive.. so two words... BUY IT..

What are you talking about, "It still eats your gaming disks?" I've owned several different iterations of the Xbox 360 and I have never had a problem with any of them, "eating disks!" [Watch, I go to play a little tonight and it eats my disk. LOL.] Seriously, what the fack are people talking about?!? Sounds about as legitimate a complaint as, "The chupacabra keep taking my goats!" [No offense to people who have lost goats to chupacabra.] xD

@alienufoweird yeah the 1st generation xbox's always have shit loads of problems
