  • great footage george my hero so cool and casual but quick no wonder this car still holds lap record on the old track .

  • @jimmmaaay1 yes, something like the odomoter button could be twisted to control boost. to adjust the ignition there was another knob and the driver would listen to the sound of the engine as the car came down the mountain and adjust it until the engine sounded the smoothest! it's crazy when you compare that to the technology we have these days

  • wow fabulous. love love love love love Bathurst

  • @avq30r31

Holds the qualifying record, not the lap record. lap records are traditionally race times

  • This car was really all the warning that should have been needed that Nissan would sooner or later be an overwhelming force at the mountain.

What ever happened to George Fury....last I saw he was punting the DR30 around in Nissan colours and then seemed to vanish from Australian racing.

  • this car is not a 2.0lt, it is a 1.8lt, Z18ET engine

is definatly an amazing car, wish i could afford the $220,000 to buy it now.

  • fred gibson also said at one stage they had an adjustable boost controller hidden inside one of the gauges lol

  • Geez that camera pan is nausea inducing compared to the modern stuff
