Upgrade firmware (Flashing) iPhone give rainbow colors on screen

Everytime i upgrade the firmware (flash) my Apple iPhone 2G i see flashing colors on the screen. Maybe the jailbreak is causing it ?

my 3g is stuck on the thr usb connecter disc sreen wont upgrade

Dude have the same problem..haven't had a clue whats wrong.. someone told me about a software problem and reformatting it might help..havent tried it yet..was your phone fixed?

I dont know. It happens when I restore my phone with a firmware. The phone works normal.

My phone is a secondhand model i bought in the summer of 2008. It works like a charm. Except for the weird colors if i flash the phone.
