A quick motion video about the new ZBrush 3. I'm not the author of this video, I have only uploaded it because it's amazing.

  • ah cool :D

  • cowsquid: He really is.

  • You only sculpt ultra high rez in zbrush.

You then go down to your lowest subdiv level (aroumnd 3,000-5,000 polys) and export that out as "newlow.obj"

In Zbrush you also export a displacement map.

Then you import the newlow.obj into maya or 3dmax and put the displacement map on it to make it look like it did in zbrush.

This is how video games look so great like

    Gears of war.

They use Normal maps exported in the same way.

  • A Zbrush model is like any other model, you can do whatever you want with it. If you've racked up millions of polys, you want to bake the high detail levels into a normal map or displacement map or something to keep your computer from exploding, of course.

  • simply.amazing.
