Coombeshead College Drama Billy Elliot

Coombeshead Drama Department recently entered a competition along with 100 other schools and youth theatres to perform a ten minute excerpt from the West End Musical Billy Elliot. They have now just been selected to perform their ten minute scene at the Birmingham Rep theatre. This exciting opportunity will take place on the weekend of the 12th June 2010. Following this event the company will wait to hear if they have been selected as a finalist to perform at the Victoria Palace theatre. Watch this space!

@MrAaronWomball I was asked specifially to only perform Deep into The Ground!! They said they enjoyed my performance so much that they only wanted our company to perform 'Deep into The Ground'. We did submit Merry Christmas Maggie Thatcher as well though!!! :-D x

My local youth theatre are doing this, this year and i'm also playing dad.

A part of our submission was Merry Christmas Maggie Thatcher and Deep into the Ground. We've been fortunate to get through to the regional showcase with all the pieces we filmed, but i'm wondering how you did deep into the ground without doing merry christmas? did you have to join with a different group to do it?
