Celestion Ditton 15 Speakers - 1970's

A pair of great sounding British Celestion Ditton 15 speakers from the 1970's. These speakers feature the Celestion passive radiator that works in tandem with the 8" speaker to move air and create good bass response.

i have a pair of the ditton 100 and they work great but one of the tweeters are blown any idea where to find replacements ?

@jayholley123 The Celestion Ditton 15 tweeters were used in several speaker models, Celestions and other makes too. I think that it is called the HF1300 and it can sometimes be found on eBay. It might be easier to find on eBay UK as they are British.

Great little speakers, but you want to look out for the 25's, 44's & most of the 66's. I have the 25's & 44's but keep trying to get hold of the 66's!

You Sure Seem To Know Your Technical Info, Have You Ever Owned A Pair Of KEF Speakers? They Are Made In A Little Town Called Maidstone In England Too And I have To Be Honest I Am A True Fan Of KEF And If I'm Even More Honest A Total KEF Snob :-) And I Will Only Have Them Speakers On My Hi-Fi System. I Have KEF Reference 104ab And They Are BEAUTIFUL! With Unbelievable Definition. I Have Had A Pair Of These Celestion Ditton 15's And Yes They Are Real Nice Speakers. NICE VIDEO! By The Way

@ninjabluewings Thanks for the nice comments! While I have heard of KEF speakers, I've never seen a pair here in Canada. I've seen other British speakers like Wharfedale's and Tannoy's here but never KEF. I would probably pick up a pair, if I came across them though (:->

@bluenazz Great speakers, I have just uploaded a vid of my amp running one pair, the amp is 100W RMS per ch into 8 ohm but the Celestions cope with it well, I think they are rated at 25 watt but not sure, any idea ??

Got a couple of pairs of these Ditton 15XR they are excellent speakers, chnage the wire inside to thicker stuff if not solid silver teflon coated wire, and replace the caps on the X over as by now the electrolytics will have dried out, and they will be stonking forever, tweeter fails where the little wire links join the silk dome always go here, I have 2 pairs one pair as standard and another pair I took the ABRs out and put in another driver, my god the bass !
