When u look at some of the other countries like europe and canada that has universal healthcare, you can still pay a low cost per month and still receive good quality health service as much as people with higher economical backgrounds.

@Commonsenseification very fair, come to think about it for us to be considered the most powerful country in the world, we are fighting and making an issue about universal healthcare. So busy worrying about getting their pockets fatter and not concerning whether human lives could be at stake here.

But at the same time, people have lost their jobs and possibly have worked for 10yrs + and having a very difficult time finding jobs because mostly they are not hiring. People are unemployed for a period of weeks or even months. They still have to be regularly seen.

The question is WHY are insurance premiums so high? WHY is the price of medications and medical procedures SO HIGH? IF these entities are NOT controlled, they will, AS THEY HAVE SHOWN, continue to; price gouge, kill the economy and, essentially.....kill people!

dude ppl in the usa are confused too. its like some ppl here want to villainize being altruistic. its like they want everyone who cant afford healthcare to just fucking die. its sad. we are provided education by the government, why not healthcare? we are suppose to be garanteed life and liberty in this country yet i find only a class system paved on the backs of the middle class. which is really the lower class because it averages out the handful of ppl in this country that have all the money.

alot of employers cannot hire workers because of increasingly sky high health care premiums insurers provide, which contribute the downward economic spiral.

Here in Europe we find it hard to understand why anybody would be against universal healthcare, America is the only country in the industrialized world where uni. healthcare is not implemented, it seems pretty primitive that it is not a part of the american way, where's the solidarity in america??? So much for the greatest country in the world!!!
