Located in the heart of the beautiful Finger Lakes region, the Rockwell Museum of Western Art brings the best of the West to the East! American Western and Native American art are the focal point for engaging, dynamic exhibitions and educational events. The Museum renews exhibits several times each year, rotating its large permanent collection of art through galleries based on themes: Wilderness, Buffalo, Horse, Indian and Cowboy. Here, myths are explored and new ways of thinking about art encouraged. In addition to the exhibition galleries, the Museum provides Art Packs on several themes for young visitors and a Trading Post gift shop with Western and Native American items including jewelry, pottery, weavings, books, reproductions, and kitchen items. In the adjacent Cantina, visitors can enjoy Western-style lunch, dinner and snacks. The Museum is open to the public seven days a week; 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with extended summer hours 9 a.m. -- 8 p.m. Memorial Day -- Labor Day. The museum is located on the corner of Denison Parkway and Cedar Street in Corning. 111 Cedar Street, Corning, NY. www.rockwellmuseum.org. 607.937.5386
