This was a very simple short 12 second animation I did for school.
The original assignment required us to animate a character getting into a vehicle which had to follow a motion path.
Once the vehicle had finished it's course, the character had to exit the vehicle. Basic Key framing to motion path blending.
I decided to focus purely on the character animation and try my best to get it to look as professional as possible.

  • Aaahh, those first steps - they always are one of funniest :D Everything goes glitchy and work not as intended. I personally use 3ds max and also know how hard is those first steps when you want get everything work nice and smooth. By the way, although I am not a pro animator, just self-learning student/3d enthusiast, but I can say this video gives a good sense that you will become good animator. All those stretch and movements looks nice and funny So keep up

  • Hey thx Intras for the encouragement!

  • Good animation but its not clear on how he got from start to the end of the track so fast.though I do like the character design and the exaggurated stagger

  • I see. We were not allowed to use any form of composition software so everything had to be take with one camera. SO i coul'dnt pause it or hold it or anything.

Ya i agree though it was very rushed.

  • Pretty cool..

I don't know anything about maya, but I appreciate your work..
