like Wire's version there's no other, but R.E.M.'s is better playing live :D

Ok, I love R.E.M. and I think they have great taste in covers. They just don't do them well.

Always loved this song... and I've always maintained that REM re-writes their songs... It's my belief that they took Wire's song and re-wrote it as Get Up.... and then Star 69 from Monster.
Call me crazy... go ahead.

Velvet Underground was big influence on REM, sometimes Velvet Underground influence shows in REM songs. :)
