Llamas are very intelligent and trainable, but you do have to work with them to teach them to drive- some are more independent and better for driving than others. Driving llamas don't have a bit in their mouths like horses, but are controlled by the leads that are attached to rings on each side of their special driving halter. You just turn their heads in the direction you want them to go, and they learn to respond to verbal ques, and/or the feel of the lead lines. It is very fun!!
