Pioneer made generators in several sizes and voltages using many different engines. This one is 12 volt 300 watts and uses a Briggs & Stratton model WMB engine. Made in 1942 it runs at about 2300 rpm and was made to charge 12 volt batteries used to light cabins and other small buildings. Features push button starting and an ammeter to show the charging rate.

  • Is it rust or brown paint?

  • @oldbriggsengines It still doesn't seem very safe, expecially when the gas tank takes up the whole bottom and could arch against something on the ground, but yea your right it's not attached to the cylinder area.

  • @MrTpengineer The gastank/ base on these engines is atached to the oil pan witch doesnt get hot, only the cylender part of the block, the muffler valves piston and head on these engines get hot. and even if the gastank was atached to one of those parts it wouldnt catch fire, as gas in liquid for catches fire around 300 degrees ferinhight and these engines very rarely if ever reach 200 degrees. Sparks, and open flames are much more likely to catch cas on fire than heat alone.
