  • the philosophical inadequacy of "global oneness":

to place oneness as qualitatively superior to difference

the philosophy is self contradictory because if "we" are all "one" then who are "we"?

a romantic idea at first but absurd and way off base with reality once one applies to an absolute conception of reality.

there is definitely a uniting principle which binds US all in existence but to express this idea we inadvertently implicate ourselves as separate.

oneness and difference are BOTH sacred

  • darn, they didn't say what the hidden agenda is.

  • @Manidebard this is why its an age old debate:

yes, its a "forest" but we define forest the same way we define "we": a single concept consisting of individual constituents. there is no way around defining oneness without indirectly implying yourself as a separate but integrated constituent of that system. your "personal" opinion cannot be that personal opinions are illusion. that's just absurdity, not paradox.

here's a paradox: we are simultaneously one and different with God

    not ONLY oneness

  • @BADSYNE Yes of course. But perhaps a better example: we you pass by a forest, do you not call it 'forest', instead of: tree, tree, tree, owl, grass, tree, etc, ... You see the forest as one, without actually thinking that there are no individual manifestations. 'Global oneness' in that sense is a sort of collective consciousness that all creatures might share, without thinking that there is no difference. Peace. PS: as a Hiphoppa, I surely appreciate the graffiti I saw on your website.

  • @Manidebard

we probably agree: oneness CANNOT subordinate difference without being self defeating. a siamese twin is also understood to be 2 people, not one.

this age old debate which has been brought to the west should not be talked of so matter of factly. there are many who disagree with such an extreme position as absolute "oneness" and their opinion should be respected and not looked down upon. we are persons and so is God. to write off our personalities as illusion is cold and extreme

  • @BADSYNE But is not life itself paradoxal? In order for us to be one, we must first be seperate. When we reach oneness, our uniqueness still exists, but as a (paradoxal) plurality in a monistic spirit. See at as a siamese twin: one body: two brains. In your thinking, they are not one, yet they have the same body... Peace

  • check out A COURSE IN MIRACLES it`s a very good way to undo the ego

  • This is a beautiful video. What if we could do it? We must not lose site of hope.

  • @nuttymanyelismate my friend, fasting is a wonderful thing, it allows your body a rest from digestion, it helps detoxify all the vital organs and glands of your body. It is like hitting a reset botton on your body. You see I became a raw vegan a month a go, and want to get rid of all the toxins I accumilated during my 46 years of life which were many. Fasting is an important part of humans or should be if they want optimal health and spiritual clarity.

    Peace my brother
