Perth Christmas Lights 2008

One of the most popular Christmas lights streets in Perth is Prairie Dunes Place in Connolly. Their entire street joins in and you can't drive up the street, you have to park a street or so away and walk.

It wasn't quite as impressive as previous years, or maybe I was just younger and more excited :)

We also visited the winners in Woodvale - it was spectacular, the video doesn't do it justice.

Their displays were moving and motorised, they had a carousel, a swing and a ferris wheel that was ridden by teddy bears and toys.

Their displays inside the garage were all phone-activated - they'd rigged up old landline phones, so that when you lifted the handset off the hook the display would come to life and move, sing and dance etc

The people who put up this display ever year are an elderly couple who sit out the front saying hello to people every day for about a month around Christmas time. They also have various boxes for donations for charities like the childrens hospital.

It was awesome :)
