Winter tyres should be used as soon as the temperature is below 7°C / 45°F even if there is no snow at all!
And they should not be used above these temperatures neither.
It's as simple as that.

@mathieuemi666 Exactly! I had a spare set of blizzak tires and two 50lb bags of sand for the winter. I was out of town for the season and didn't swap them in time!!

I have blizzak snow tires on mine and I can drive through almost anything.

@MyOpinionMatterss Very nice! I had a set of all weather tires and two bags of sand for the trunk, and could get around basically year-round. The tires on in that video are T1R Toyo Proxes - which are high performance summer only.. basically no grip in snow.
