Nate Hybl and Quentin Griffin lead the Sooners to their first ever Rose Bowl Game victory. Oklahoma would lead wire to wire thanks to great defensive play by Teddy Lehman, Jonathan Jackson, Brandon Everage, and company.

  • I hope OU does this again soon.

  • Quentin Griffin is one of my faorite players of all time. Never a negative celebration, always handing the ball back to the officials, helping opponents off the ground, heck he even turned down the opportunity to get into the record books at OU. He's a role model for all young athletes.

  • when did they change the rose bowl trophy i love how it looks now

  • @jsfranklinwsu He accepted the Alabama job before the Rose Bowl, but was allowed to coach the bowl game.

  • Where is Nate Hybl?

  • @jsfranklinwsu yes he did, and I have no idea why. I still don't know why. Why couldn't he have announced that AFTER the game? I'm not taking anything away from OU, they were great that year too, but I expected WSU to play better

  • @dhide14 Didn't Price quit BEFORE the game to go to Alabama? That's kind of messed up to do that before your team plays for a Rose Bowl.

  • I knew the WSU offense would struggle with Gesser playing on a broken leg...but damn, where was the fucking defense??

  • @Dedmon319 Yeah coming from a UT fan, Quentin Griffin is really a class act.

  • @jdhaist13 not as long as your last bowl game before last year haha

  • Washington State #7? Wow this is a long time ago...

  • @alexhp91 Yeah I'll agree with you there. For being a backup quarterback, he did a fantastic job of stepping into the starting position.
