@rockfitz I'm not gonna pretend that I'm not a big fan of this band cos I am. I am also a big fan of Luke Kelly. I'd say that you were too young to remember Luke and The Dubliners back in the day cos they were regularly drunk on stage. But it's drinking music. In fact The Dubliners were drunk on some studio recordings! :-) Add to that the fact that the guitar playing on this isn't useless? Not sure where you're getting that from? Something personal perhaps?

@timbook Hi I don"t know how the hell that Comment got on here, I would have never said anything bad about the Dubliners or Luke Kelly for that matter, I was and still am a very big fan of this Group , I can not understand how this has happened, Cheers

Well considering The Dubliners were extremely average musicians, even on their records mistakes can be heard, I think that comment is extremely unfair, and probably stems out of jealousy or bitterness.

I've seen the band many times in Ireland and I've always found them to be very close to the heart of what they're doing. Very approachable and decent lads too. Their shows are actually quite fun too!

I first saw the band in Dundrum. We drove from Oxfordshire, ferried to Dublin, bussed to a guesthouse in the suburbs an then bussed to Dundrum with twenty minutes to spare before the show started! Enjoyed the performance and met the lads after. They were very approachable and friendly. To round off, after staying the one night back in the suburbs, my wife and I then returned via Holyhead and drove to Scotland for a week's work! Then back to Oxfordshire. Exhausting, but been a fan ever since.
