You know why Rambo didn't kill Murdoch, when Rambo raised his knife to strike, Murdoch soiled his draws something fierce in fear and stunned him temporarily, it was a stench that not even a hardened Green Beret could stomach.
Look at the scene closely in slo mo, a slight tear is apparent right before Rambo strikes, he had no choice but to back away, the noxious fumes were overpowering.
I contribute this to another form of military defense, the food they serve the paper pushers
