Wow, {} can be empty block or an object... That explains why
{}+[]
and
({}+[])
give different results (0 and "[object Object]", respectively)

@Milo: Ah! While I did figure out the + was interpreted as a unary operator, it still made no sense to me how {} $x could yield $x... never occurred to me JS would regard it a block, with its horrid automatic semicolon insertion finishing the job. Thanks for the insight! This is the most hideous thing since I learnt that "var" isn't block-scoped.
