Aw, who are we kidding, Easter is named after the goddess Ēostre of Anglo-Saxon paganism, the bunnies and eggs signify fertility, and the mythos of the resurrected son/sun came from the position of the sun during vernal equinox, dating back centuries before the Christian "Easter" originated.

@sbruckmair I don't actually eat chocolate. Much like Jesus isn't actually what Easter is about, so... falsehoods heaped on falsehoods. Just remember that the earth has been around for billions of years and we are all evolved from the primordial soup of eons gone by. The fable of the resurrection was taken from Greek and Egyptian mythology (Horus, et al) and has been retold with different main characters since time immemorial.

Quite to the contrary, the "Easter Bunny" is propaganda to hide the wonderful truth of Christ's sacrifice for us. Kids definitely need to learn more about THAT!!
