It took ages to compile this list. I think it is quite comprehensive, in that I can't think of any other titles released on the label.

There are a few important points about this list...

* The free rental preview tapes they released are not listed here (I think there were two of them).

* Australia After Dark (1975) was not included because I'm pretty certain its released was delayed, and then later issued by Palace Vibrant (not Roadshow Vibrant).

* Swedish Wife Exchange Club (1972) was included. I've NEVER EVER seen a copy of it, but it was apparently promoted.

* Many of the Roadshow Vibrant titles were later re-released on the Palace Vibrant label.

* Many adult films were strangely not placed on the Vibrant label by Roadshow, and were therefore placed into the general list here.

* I've never seen a copy of Angel Unchained (1970), but a trailer was promoted on their home videos.

* Comin' At Ya (1981) was included because it was also promoted on back covers, but it was never apparently released. There was no teaser trailer for it.

* Summerfield (1977) was not included because I'm pretty certain it was a Village Roadshow release.

* I think Savage Sisters (1974) was a Palace release, but I'm not 100% certain. It was not included in this list.

* Some of the 1985 releases only had 'Roadshow' at the top, and not 'Roadshow Home Video'. They were included on this list, however.

* Not all of the titles listed here were released in New Zealand.

* I believe all the titles here were released in both VHS and Betamax format.

* Some of the years of production may not be completely accurate.

The Terminator was released on the Village Roadshow label, not Roadshow Home Video.

  • I saw the trailer for "Swedish Wives Exchange Club" *years* ago, but never actually saw the movie. I think Garen Daly screened the trailer during one of his film marathons

  • I remember seeing the trailer for "Swedish Wife Exchange Club" in a theater *years* ago, but I've never seen the actual movie.

  • Yeah, and Caligula was released under the Roadshow and the Palace X label...

That's annoying me now about The Rutles. I could rummage through the Palace cassettes in my collection to see if I can find the trailer, but I think it's likely that I saw the trailer on a Palace video I rented rather than bought.

  • Never seen The Rutles on a Palace tape. The main Roadshow to Palace cross over occurred on the Vibrant label. Many old Roadshows were re-released on Palace, though Palace were the first to release the X-rated version of Insatiable.

Village Roadshow owned a part of Palace, along with Blake Films & a guy called Tony Zeccola. In 1985 Tony bought Palace outright, but prior to that Roadshow tended to put their less 'mainstream' releases on the Palace label.
