The new ones are nice and cutting edge but they lack the soul of NYC of the R62. I don't like the fact that the Number or Letter signifying which line it is is so small and up top unlike the R62 has a nice big sign in one of the windows.

I will admit it has the retro looks of the old R36 and a touch of the R62 but i still prefer the R62 over em all...just a nostalgic Brooklyn guy I guess lol

The R142s, R143s and R160S are better then these other trains. You can atleast here the annoucements clearer and they have more space in the cars. @mazerati you say the cars are not clean, its New York the subway trains are always filthy. The trains looks soo much better. I do miss the redbirds and like the R62s but I like these new ones. Nothing stays the same. @noreaga12326 What do want? old subway cars for the rest of time they gotta change em, Its a modern time so they have to be modern.

@mazerati r142a suck there NOT clean either and they r142s are 1,000,000,000 times better than those ugly sirens of r142A/r143 trains aka Ltrain 4(6) trains

@Maserati7200 HELL NO! R142As are 100x better then R142s. R142s look like they never get car washes. Alot of their front signs are messed up. R160s suck exept siemens ones. They have FIND issues and front sign issues. I just hate Alstom propulsions. I wish Redbirds could come back to life, but with door chimes and A/C.

I could not agree with you more noreaga12326, The older R 62s and R 62As are far better. These are all pieces of junk. The interiors looks like hospital emergency rooms with the all grey interior and the lighting. Yuck.

Noreaga, I cannot agree with you more. I hate the R160s and the R142s, also. The R 62s and R62As were the best. It seems now that all subway cars are so similar and have that hospital exam room decor and color. I wish the MTA staff would read and heed these comments.
