@KITM0USE French people do like Jazz and Blues, since last century it started with Josephine Baker and Billie Holiday, even Nat King Cole sung in French - but Quebecer aren't French, we do speak French but we are a Multiculture society of all types of race and Music, we are the most crazy PARTY goers people in North America... :-)

@Canuckeirs And more recently; another great French Jazzer, Anne DUCROS!! She began her classical training (musical and vocal) at the conservatory of Boulogne-sur-Mer with Lyne Durian. She also gained the Billie Holiday Award by the Academy of Jazz in December 2001...

Montreal has the Jazz Festival every summer, and it's not for nothing, it's because there are lotsa Jazz Musicians from the oldies in their age of 70s to the more recent one and the youngest Jazz vocalist - Nikki Yanofsky and I hope that this band will certainly be participating as well!!

Michel LeGrand French big-band jazz man, musical composer, arranger, conductor, and pianist, from the early 1950s, Legrand was one of the first Europeans to work with jazz innovators such as Dizzy Gillespie and Stan Getz!!
