No. I lack interest in playing it, for reasons stated.

Now, you might go by the don't judge a book by it's cover stance, but if the things that are supposed to draw me to the game aren't working, I don't see any reason to humor it.

Then you could play something like Starcraft, or Tactics 100, or various other real time/turn based strategy games that are cheap/free with online multiplayer. There's quite a bit out there, some looking is just involved, and if you could find this, you could find other things. Turn based, hex based, resource based tactical video games do exist; there's no need to simulate a board game with these.

That being said, the concept is interesting. I just don't quite agree with the digitization.

but i have a question. have you played the game i know that it takes all the imagination and stuff out but what about some of us who cant pay for all that board game stuff and dont have that many friends. please atleast try the game.

As much as I hate to agree given the circumstance... I have to say this doesn't look that good.

We play traditional games because we like to hold the game pieces and we like to use our imaginations. This not only removes both of those, but is still selling itself to you as doing so.

If I wanted to play a miniature war game/skirmish game, I'd just play a miniature war game/skirmish game.
