Glacial Erratic Fossils and Rocks in Cincinnati part 1

Hunting glacial erratic rocks along the Little Miami River . The glaciers dumped tons of rocks in moraine piles .Canadian rocks and fossils .The rocks are spread out, are of many varieties .The river has eroded these and worn them very smooth .Beutiful deep colors , white , tan , dark green ,red orange and tan .Devonian age fossils are mixed in like a needle in a hay stack .My children and I spent many weekends swimming our dog .Our Dog would retrieve balls from the river and drip all over the rocks , this would make the wet fossils stand out with contrast .Part 2 shows more fossil finds .

@barto11000 If you actualy look around you can find many homes that have rocks in the landscaping .Usualy they are bought from landscaping companies at very high prices . Usualy only the wealthier homes afford them .No shame in loving rocks . This may seem odd to you if you are from some far off place that has few rocks handy .When the rocka are abundant they are used often .I would guess about 5% -10% of the homes have rocks in the landscaping .
