City At Peace DC

Founded in 1994, City at Peace DC is the only organization in the DC area using the performing arts to work intensively with diverse groups of young people to promote cross-cultural understanding, teach conflict resolution, and prevent violence. Using a youth-led model, we build trusting relationships, achieve artistic excellence, and create lasting change in the lives of participants,
their families, their schools, and their communities.

Our school saw the City at Peace production last year. Our students were entertained, inspired, and challenged by these incredibly talented young people. The musical ignited valuable discussion about social justice issues that was taken back into our classroom, our homes and our communities. The adults who accompanied the students were equally impacted. I heartily recommend support for City at Peace. Do yourself a favor and go see a production.
