  • Why do you want to put an isolation coat on your painting before you put a varnish on? Why is the varnish not enough? I'm just learning. I appreciate your help.

  • I'm getting ready to put an isolation coat down on my painting and I like the finished look of your paintings so I plan on adoption your methods but I have a question... My painting is a portrait and has a simple flat black background but some of the strokes look a little thicker in some areas and because there are no color variations it looks a little off... Will an isolation coat help these thicker strokes to blend a little better? Depending on the lighting they seem distracting at times.

  • Hi...can you tall me why you prefer to use a sponge applicator in preference to a brush & do you wash it out afterwards or throw it away...thanks Mike
