This lecture is based on Shaykh Muhammad bin Jameel Zeeno's question and answer book on the Islaamic creed.

It covers important questions about Islamic doctrine which the author has answered, mentioning the proof- texts from the Quraan and correct authenticated Ahadeeth (true traditions and sayings of the Prophet (Sallallaahu 'alayhe wa Salaam) so that the reader or in this case listener may be satisfied with the correctness of the answers, since the doctrine of Allaah's Tawheed (Monotheism, Oneness) is the foundation of man's happiness in this world and in the Hereafter.

  • 1 Question for hadith followers - does the Quran tell us to follow HADITH (not mohamed but hadith?)

NO, off course it doesn't, so why follow it?

  • The Prophet (Sallallaahu 'alayhe wa Sallam) said:

"There will come a time, when a man sitting upon his couch is mentioned a hadith and replies, 'Between us and you is the Book of Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic, so what we find in it to be lawful we take it as lawful and what we find in it to forbidden we take it to be forbidden.' Indeed what the Messenger of Allaah has forbidden is like wha Allaah has forbidden."

    Reported by.....

  • .......Abu Dawood,Ibn Maajah, Ahmad and at-Tirmidhee who declared it hassan. Al-Albaanee declared it saheeh in Saheehatul-Jaami' (no.8186).

  • How can his faith be wrong if he follows the Words of Allah? Is Allah not enough for U people?...Im happy for all Muslims who trust that the Quran if complete and fully detailed.

  • Allaah included everything in the Quran that people are in need of. It is sufficient, and alongside it is the CLARIFICATION of the Messenger (Sallallaahu 'alayhe wa Sallam).

    Allaah says:

"And We have sent down unto you (O Muhammad) the reminder and the advice (the Qur'ân), that you may explain clearly to men what is sent down to them"

    Soorah An-Nahl verse 44

  • So, the Messenger is the clarifier, informer and an explainer of the Noble Book. The Book and the Sunnah clarify guidance from misguidance. In them is a clarification of the good path and the evil paths.

Why would anyone who TRULY believes in the Quran oppose the Hadiths? when Allaah Subhannahu wa Ta'alaa says about His Prophet:

"Nor does he speak of (his own) desire.

It is only an Inspiration that is inspired."

    Soorah 53 an-Najm verses 2-3

May Allaah guide you and those like you ameen

  • Explain the term explain, considering that there is another verse that says that the prophet is no guardian over people and that his sole mission is to deleiver the Quran.

The hadith must be false, there is nothing like the Quran!!

  • Hadiths are the statmets of Allaah's Messenger (Sallallaahu 'alayhe wa Sallam). And its compulsory we obey Allaah's Messenger (Sallallaahu 'alayhe wa Sallam) as Allaah commands us in His Noble Quran;

"O you who believe! Obey Allâh and obey the Messenger (Muhammad Sallallaahu 'alayhe wa Sallam)...." Quran 4:59

"And whoso obeys Allâh and the Messenger (Muhammad Sallallaahu 'alayhe wa Sallam), then they will be in the company of those on whom Allâh has bestowed His Grace....." Quran 4:69
