Not trying to be rude. But the 1 trillion dollars would have done a lot more good shared out among the other charities. Not just a select few. As it has not even made a dint. Because of economic problems that donations only help worsen.

Good points in (1) and (2)

We (AUS),are in the middle of a drought. We dont have huge suppies of freshwater. Most of ours are from dams. Pretty much all at 15-25% capacity. Means we will run out of water end of 2008. At that low it has blue green alge and is dirty. Everyday we get closer to 3rd word living. (can you send me £5)

(2)talks with relgious extremists convinced them to do the governments bidding and they took the youth of the nation (those that may not actually understand their faith or even read the koran) and twisted their minds into doing 'gods' work by killing other innocent people, people they had never seen or heard of, but apparently had wronged them in some way. they were tricked!
although i believe this, i also have seen enough evidence to suggest that 9/11 was set up by its own government.
Australia is in a serious crisis. We are all ecstatic when it rains. And everyday we get closer and closer to no water. I have giving money to my own country. We are in to much trouble ourselves to try save everyone else. I think that is the problem. Flooded with Images from Africa. We gave and gave and forgot about our own back yard. Also gave a Billion to the tsunami appeal. So the Question you should ask yourself. Would you give money to us? You are probably laughing at the thought.

well if your country actually publicised this matter like africa appeal, there could be a posibility of aid and it could be stopped before it became another africa

do you know there is 168,794 charities in the UK?
and about 100,000 of them recieve less then a £10,000 a year. While you gave to cause that gets over a Trillion. Just curious why you would turn your back on your own country. Do you or are you going to contribute to anything else? Or is it because the others have small budgets and can't afford to saturate the charity market. So you don't know they exist?

if africa was given a trillion pounds that would be double the debt of the 3rd world....and im sure not all that money is going directly to the people that need it
and im not turning my back on my country, im seeing that realistically if i give a fiver a month to an african appeal i can save 25 people, now. whereas if i gave a fiver a month to cancer appeal, RSPCA, wildlife fund, etc, who's life am i saving?

HAHA still can't get over this one. Just goes to show the charities with the biggest advertising campaigns get all the suckers in. Why the small charities and some atrocities go un-noticed. You contribute to large organisations to make yourself feel better and pretend you're doing something. I donate to real causes, to help. Not ones with governments, corporations, wealthiest people in the world. If they can't do it your dollar a day won't. Help out the little guys.

actually i donate to a charity called Children In Crossfire every month, they deal with the people directly, in Africa and in my own country, mainly Africa though. I donate to them because with X amount of money i can make a bigger a difference in the fight against poverty and starvation, than i can against homeless dogs, or cancer.
