Video of my mcpX 250 doing flips and inverted hover for the first time. In the normal flight mode, there were some wobbles noticed (you could see them in the video). Later I realized it was due to the mcpX gyroscopic corrections against the strong wind whenever the heli was in a hover or in slow flight.
In idle-up mode, the wobbles were barely noticeable but I attempted the first flip 3 mistakes high just to play safe. I was surprised how easy it was to flip the heli (because I didn't move the cyclic sticks much).
The 2nd flip was lower and the inverted hover basically locked in on its own. With the confidence gained, I knew immediately that I could push this heli harder next time.
The McpX system is actually pretty stable and reliable after all the bugs are sorted out. :)
"idle-up" settings (in the 2nd half of the video)
+/-10* pitch
flat 85% throttle
"normal" settings (in the first half of the video)
0-0-10* pitch
0-65-75% throttle
